Langford Sports Centre facilities include:

Langford Sports Centre which is a state of the art dual-use sports centre managed for Jersey College for Girls, Victoria College and community users. It offers the very latest in high tech sports facilities at affordable costs for all.
As well as colleges and schools, any group, club or body of people can use the centre. The Basketball
Association, Jersey Swimming Club, Tigers Swimming Club, Cricket development officers, Spartans athletics, and karate and fencing clubs are already taking advantage of its location, parking and facilities.

Sports hall

The sports hall has high tech flooring to provide outstanding protection from impact damage to joints as well as being highly resistant to slips and slides. The sports that can be played here are basketball, cricket, five-a-side football, netball, badminton, volleyball, hockey and tennis. All large equipment is provided for each sport, with the emphasis on ease of use and minimal manual handling.

Swimming pool

A 25-metre five-lane swimming pool with a depth from one metre to two metres is available. This is a deck-level pool, which has the latest in filtration technology ensuring that the water quality is always of the highest standard. There are male and female changing rooms fitted with cubicles throughout. Limited disabled changing facilities with easy access to the pool are also provided.

Gymnasium

This is a traditional style school gym with wall bars, balance beams and ropes. It has a fully sprung wooden floor to absorb impact and protect joints. There is also a selection of vaulting horses, springboards and mats, plus two trampolines. This area is ideal for circuit training and other exercise classes.

Dance studio

This room is designed to meet the exacting standards of today’s highly competitive leisure industry. Fully air conditioned, the temperature can be changed from very cool to very warm in 20 minutes, giving the flexibility to go from a cooled aerobics environment to a warm Pilate’s environment at the touch of a button. The floor is fully sprung to help protect the joints and beams are strategically placed to assist with routines. The mirrored wall is ideal to check on poise and form.

External ball court

At the side of the centre is an all weather ball court marked out for netball. This facility has a non-slip impact absorbing surface. The court is surrounded by a low wall and fencing, which prevents the ball from straying too far. There is bleacher style seating for 60 spectators provided along side the court, so viewing is a pleasure.
