Geography field work in the sun is definitely something we could get used to.
For years we have been doing our field work, which is an essential part of the Geography course, in the Lake District but this year decided to go to a field studies centre in Barcelona as we are now following the International GCSE. It certainly didn’t disappoint. Students were able to study coastal management, flash flooding, urban rebranding and economic change in the city of Barcelona. The group returned from the visit with a greater understanding of many aspects of the course and experience of having undertaken a number of different field work techniques. It is definitely a visit that the department would like to repeat for future iGCSE Geography students.
Further information about this visit and the iGCSE Geography course studied at JCG is available from Mrs Mansell, Head of Geography (firstname.lastname@example.org)
