2nd October 2015
Five Year 12 students from JCG took part in a cross-island debate at the Jersey States Chamber.
The question debated was, ‘How should we respond to the humanitarian crisis of the mass migration of people into Europe to escape from conflict, persecution or poverty?”
The JCG students put forward numerous sound arguments and were able to successfully rebut several counter-arguments. A wide range of views were heard and the students were able to enhance their own understanding of the current humanitarian crisis through engaging in this debate.
