A level Results

Carl Howarth, Principal of JCG, stated, ‘we are very proud and delighted for our students and staff. Once again, everyone has worked tremendously hard and shown great resilience through a period of substantial change within the A level examination structure. Over a third of our grades are at the very top band of A* or A with over 90% A* - C and the College continues to achieve a 100% pass rate. These important results enable our students to pursue a wide range of degrees including Medicine, Engineering, Languages, PPE, Pharmacy, Law and Teaching. We wish them every success and happiness as they venture on to universities ranging from Oxford, Durham, UCL, Exeter, local and international institutions to name just a few. We also congratulate our students choosing to stay in the Island to work who have all secured positions in a range of local businesses.’

GCSE Results
Carl Howarth, Principal, stated, ‘Our students have worked so hard and have achieved the highest results in the College’s history. 66% of all grades were A* or A with 70% of all our students achieving 5 or more A* or A grades and 100% of all students achieving 5 A*-C including English and Maths. Once again our students have demonstrated that with hard work, good teaching and aspiration, nothing is impossible. However, whilst these headline figures are very pleasing they don’t reveal the many individual successes. It is wonderful to see students who have aspired and worked so hard to significantly outperform their targets based on their CATs data. This positive difference is the value that they, their teachers, their families and the College as a whole have added to their education and we are so proud of them. I would like to thank their teachers and their parents for all the help and care they have given along the way.’
